Presenter Marlayne Sahupala (52) was disappointed with her relationship with alcohol. She had a problem for years, she realized. Marlayne told her story in the podcast Honest about alcohol. “I was disappointed that I had that glass again at five in the afternoon.” And even though she could sometimes stop drinking for a month during Dry January, she would happily start drinking again on February 1.
Ready to quit
When she realized that she was dependent on alcohol, Marlayne decided to stop drinking altogether. “I was ready to quit,” says Marlayne. “I never said: I will never drink again, but I said: I will stop.”
