Where do you come to work?
The RID Utrecht is the ICT partner for 7 organisations; the municipalities of Baarn, Bunnik, De Bilt, Soest, Utrechtse Heuvelrug and Wijk bij Duurstede and the Regional Social Service Kromme Rijn Heuvelrug. These organizations collectively represent approximately 220,000 inhabitants. From Doorn, our RID staff support more than 2,100 employees in the province of Utrecht. In our young and informal organization we work closely together on further professionalization and innovation of the ICT infrastructure and services. With us you take the initiative and you are consciously working to raise the quality of the service to residents and businesses to a higher level.
What are you going to do?
As an enthusiastic and independent Manager RID Team Services (20-25 FTE) you are of great added value for the RID and the organizations because you are responsible for developing, deploying and maintaining the strategic policy.
You must be able to lead the core activities of Team Services and coordinate, monitor and direct them. The work of the team covers architecture, security, ICT consultancy, projects, service management and the management of the functionality of the services and solutions in the field of information provision. Within the team, the development of the aforementioned knowledge areas has been entrusted to department managers of departments.
In this position you guarantee the efficiency of modern RID operations and the effectiveness of the organization with policy-making, organizing, directing and controlling activities. Your focus is on developing and changing the services and solutions for the long term. It is important that you keep an eye on the daily operation and maintenance management, activities of the other team (Support & Operations). Together with the fellow manager and director, you are jointly and integrally responsible for the development and performance of the RID as a whole. This is partly due to the compact organisation, limited scale and consolidation of activities in two teams.
Vacancy Manager RID Team Services Because the work of the RID-Utrecht does not stand alone, we are looking for a professional who strengthens cooperation with the client organizations, who innovates demand-driven and responds to changing needs arising from developments at municipal organizations. You contribute to this in an advisory capacity and you are therefore an expert discussion partner.
Your duties include:
• Organizing and developing the collaboration of the professionals of the Services team.
• Coordinate and coordinate the prioritization of the assignments to be carried out by the team.
• Deciding on and directing change programs and processes.
• Alignment of the main features of the supply of IV services with the needs/demand of the participating organizations within the RID-Utrecht.
• Continually optimizing the performance of the team and optimizing the processes for which the team is responsible to the satisfaction of end users and clients.
• Taking ownership and responsibility for integral service management processes and their implementation.
• Leading the development and maintenance of a future-proof ICT architecture.
• Ensure the implementation of new or changed management processes within the RID-Utrecht.
• Drawing up and implementing the automation policy of the RID (or having it drawn up).
• Contributing to required reports for the client and the service management of the RID-Utrecht.
• Contributions to the annual budget and the annual plans of the RID-Utrecht.
• Personnel management (such as conducting planning, performance and assessment interviews, absence supervision) of the team members.

What do we offer you?
A challenging job with many responsibilities in a dynamic environment. Room for personal development with a good work-life balance. Depending on education and experience, a scale of 12/13 applies with a maximum salary of €6,993 (functional scale 13) gross per month (salary table for municipal officials, reference date 2 January 2023). Amounts apply to a 36-hour working week. On top of your salary, you will receive an individual choice budget (17.05% of your salary). With this budget you can make choices that suit your life phase, personal wishes and goals. So you decide when and for what you use your budget.
