Man refuses examination after blood test

Breda – On Monday morning, April 1, a 32-year-old man from Eindhoven was arrested after police officers discovered that he was driving his car under the influence of drink and drugs. A doctor took a blood sample from the man, but after that he did not give permission for the blood sample to be further examined.

At around 7 a.m., the patrolling officers saw the man driving 185 kilometers per hour on the highway, while 100 kilometers was allowed. Police officers stopped the motorist on Graaf Engelbertlaan in Breda. He had to take a breath test and a saliva test. The breath test showed that the man had drunk alcohol and the saliva test showed that he was under the influence of THC (active substance in hashish and weed).

The Eindhoven resident had to go to the office. A doctor was alerted to take blood from the man. After being injected, the man refused any further cooperation.

A report is being drawn up against the motorist and he is given a 24-hour driving ban. During that time, until 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning, he is not allowed to act as a director.
