Man injured in robbery

Goes – A 61-year-old man from Goes was injured when he was attacked in his apartment on the Oude Singel. He has been admitted to hospital, and the detectives are conducting an investigation.

The police were called around 6:50 p.m. on Friday, April 28, that a man had been robbed in his home. It soon became apparent on the spot that there had been several hours between the time of the report and the robbery. The injured victim was taken to the police station to make an initial statement with the help of an interpreter. The man became unwell at the police station and was immediately taken to hospital by ambulance.

Investigations were carried out in the victim’s apartment. Local residents were also questioned and it was examined whether camera images could be secured. Initial investigations indicate that three men are likely involved in the robbery. It is still unclear what was stolen and what happened in the apartment. A report has yet to be filed with the man. He is still in hospital.
