A man was injured in a shooting on Hilversumstraat in Amsterdam-Noord on Sunday evening. AT5 writes that the man in the ambulance indicated that he did not want to be taken to the hospital. A suspect was reportedly arrested in the immediate vicinity.
The emergency services received the report of the shooting around 10:30 p.m. The victim was injured. Ambulance personnel entered an apartment with a stretcher, but according to bystanders the victim was able to walk to the ambulance himself. It is unknown whether the shooting took place in the apartment or whether the victim fled into the apartment.
A man was arrested in the immediate vicinity around 11:15 PM. It is still unclear whether that arrest is related to the shooting.
