Nijkerk – The police arrested a man from Nijkerk on Wednesday afternoon after a shooting incident in Bunschoten-Spakenburg. A woman was found in the man’s home, she died.
Just after 3:30 p.m., the police received a report of the shooting incident on Veenestraat in Bunschoten-Spakenburg. Officers found an injured, 59-year-old man from Bunschoten-Spakenburg. He has been taken to hospital. Shots were fired several times.
Quick arrest
After an investigation, officers were able to arrest the suspect from Nijkerk in the same place not much later. With a Dangerous Suspect Approach Technique (BTGV), he was removed from his vehicle. A woman was then found in the man’s home at the Sperwerhof in Nijkerk. The investigation into her identity and cause of death is ongoing. For this purpose, a PD unit was placed in the street after it was found.
