Man arrested after serious assault, woman’s front teeth knocked out

Prinsenbeek – A 53-year-old woman from Prinsenbeek was severely assaulted by a man on Paantjensstraat on Sunday, February 19 at around 11:30 pm. He knocked out some front teeth and an incisor with a clenched fist. Shortly after the incident, the police arrested a 56-year-old man from Prinsenbeek as a suspect.

The victim filed a report. She said that she and her partner and children and their supporters had been celebrating carnival all day in Prinsenbeek. They had parked their van on Paantjensstraat. They regularly went back to that car to get stuff out of it. Around 11:30 PM, an altercation broke out with a group of people who accused them of something. The tumult ended in a fight in which the 53-year-old woman was hit hard in the face. She was taken to hospital by ambulance. She is now missing her front teeth in her upper jaw and an incisor on the right side due to the abuse. She had to report sick to her employer.

Shortly after the incident, the police arrested a 56-year-old man from Prinsenbeek as a suspect. He has been insured.
