Man (52) is on trial for laundering four tons and trading 130 kilos of coke


A 52-year-old man from Amsterdam is on trial in the Amsterdam court on Tuesday on suspicion of trafficking 130 kilos of cocaine and laundering 437,500 euros and luxury goods, including expensive clothing, shoes and a painting by Herman Brood.

The suspect, 52-year-old MH, in addition to trading or transporting 130 kilos of cocaine between August 2020 and February 2021, is also suspected of laundering 437,500 euros and luxury goods, including 34 expensive coats, 48 ​​items of clothing, 49 pairs of shoes and a painting by Herman Brood.

According to the Public Prosecution Service, the laundering of these luxury goods was allegedly done through the proceeds of cocaine trafficking.

The man is also prosecuted for possession of 6.62 grams of MDMA (the active substance in ecstasy pills).
