A 50-year-old man from Rozenburg died on Thursday evening after a stabbing at the Raadhuisplein in Rozenburg. Immediately afterwards, agents arrested a 51-year-old man from Rozenburg as a suspect.

The stabbing that took place just before 10 p.m. was preceded by an argument between two men. Officers and the trauma team who arrived on the scene resuscitated the man, but to no avail. The man died at the scene of his injuries. Many bystanders were present during the CPR, the police said.
Immediately after the stabbing, officers arrested a 51-year-old man from Rozenburg as a suspect. The police are further investigating the incident. Camera images are viewed and witnesses are spoken to.
A motive for the altercation is not yet known.
Fatal stabbings also took place in Rozenburg on December 27, 2019, September 30, 2020 and August 16, 2021.
