The police arrested a 35-year-old man from Geldrop on Monday afternoon around 3 p.m. on suspicion of involvement in the liquidation of Johan van Boxtel in 2017. The victim was shot dead on May 7, 2017 on Memlincstraat in Eindhoven.

Some time ago, the police received new information in the investigation into the murder of the then 32-year-old Van Boxtel. The case received plenty of attention in the media and investigative programs, but the investigation was halted for a long time. The new information revived the investigation and a special investigation team was set up.
