Rotterdam – You ask, we deliver. Would you like another traffic check, asked the residents of Crooswijk, via the community police consultation. Since we love happy residents and listen to their wishes and carry them out if possible, Schuttersveld, Crooswijksestraat and Noordplein became the scene of the police, customs and tax authorities last Thursday.

The ANPR car was ready at the Boezemstraat and drove 63 vehicles and 16 scooters to the checkpoint.
This led to the arrest of a person who was driving under the influence. A scooter was allowed to stay there because it was in a very bad condition and the driver did not have a driver’s license.
At least 26 tickets for calling behind the wheel, exceeding the scooter speed by testing on the roller bench, not wearing a seat belt, no ID and tinted windows that are too dark, which can be measured with a special device.
And a driving lesson vehicle still had no less than 5964 euros outstanding.

Honesty is the best policy…..
During the check, a man walked to the employees of the tax authorities with the

26000 euros open. The man immediately paid 2500 euros. The rest follows.

Stores
Seven shops were visited by Customs on the Crooswijkseweg. In two stores, eight nitrous oxide bottles and two plastic bags with whipped cream cartridges containing nitrous oxide were stored in a storage room behind the counter. Two bottles of laughing gas were also found in another store. There were also 4 pills of Kamagra in a plastic bag, a kind of Viagra.
The municipality will prepare an administrative report.

31 vehicles and 11 scooters were checked on Noordplein. There, too, it was ball again: 11 fines for using a mobile phone, not wearing a seatbelt, the permitted speed
too high and unable to show ID.
An Audi RS3 has also been seized by the State Tax. The owner had an amount of 38,000 euros outstanding. And an amount of 4500 was still waiting for him at the municipal tax. It also turned out that the owner had applied for an energy allowance, without being entitled to it. The municipality continues with this. And officers arrested another person who had been wanted for a while.

In total, this check yielded 12,505.29 euros for the Municipal Tax. The National Tax collected 23,177,00 euros. Customs checked 14 residence permits.
37 fines, two arrests, 1 vehicle and 1 scooter seized and two administrative reports in the making.

But the most important thing is that the residents of Crooswijk and the Oude Noorden feel heard and safe.
