The lifeless body of a 65-year-old resident was found on Saturday in a house in the Gravestein flat in Amsterdam-Zuidoost. According to the police, the man was found under suspicious circumstances.
The police received a report on Saturday afternoon around 3:30 PM from an acquaintance of the man, who had no contact with him. When officers visited the home, they found the dead man there.

“Given the circumstances under which the man was found, the police immediately started a Large-Scale Investigation Team (TGO),” the police said on Monday. What exactly happened is part of the criminal investigation. No arrests have been made yet.
The victim’s family has been informed of his death.
