Comedians Hans Sibbel and Dolf Jansen, better known as the duo Lebbis and Jansen, will again provide a New Year’s Eve conference. The two start a theater tour again for the first time since 2006.
The 2023 New Year’s Eve conference will be entitled SUBLIEM. The first try-outs will start in June. From September, the two will perform throughout the country for four months.
Lebbis and Jansen performed together between 1988 and 2006 and made a New Year’s Eve performance every year during that period. Since then, the two have opted for a solo career. Jansen continued the tradition of the New Year’s Eve shows. With this edition he is ready for his 35th New Year’s Eve show.
“We have now both played together for more than seventeen years, then both solo for seventeen years,” says Jansen (59) to the ANP news agency. “It felt good to start making something together again.” Sibbel (64) calls the reunion with his old buddy “as if you used to be in a top team, and after a long time in the old line-up you can play a match again.” Whether the comeback is a one-off is not yet clear.
