The six-part drama series Máxima can be seen on Videoland from April 20. The leading roles in the drama series Máxima are played by the Argentinian Delfina Chaves who will play the role of Máxima. Martijn Lakemeier plays Willem-Alexander. The duo fell in love with each other on set and are now in a relationship in real life. Other roles are played by Elsie de Brauw as Beatrix and Sebastian Koch who plays Claus.
Maxima’s early years
The series is based on the book Motherland: The Young Years of Máxima Zorreguieta by author Marcia Luyten. This book was published in November 2021. The story is about how the young Máxima grows up, starts her career in New York, meeting Prince Willem-Alexander, the marriage proposal and the fuss that ensued.
