Large variety of drugs in Amsterdam home

The police in Amsterdam found a quantity of different types of drugs in a house on Postjesweg in Amsterdam-West on Tuesday. Two people have been arrested: the 38-year-old resident and a 31-year-old woman who was present.

Observation

Information had been received by the police that there may be drugs in the house.

According to the police, the home and the resident were then observed. Then came the “entry”.

Dealer

It appears the drugs were a small-scale dealer’s stash. There was a total of more than 100 kilos of hard drugs, including MDMA, ecstasy pills, amphetamine and ketamine, but also blocks of cocaine, weighing and sealing equipment and cutting and packaging materials.

Thousands of euros worth of cash was also found, police said.

The resident is at risk of being evicted from his home because the police will draw up an administrative report for the municipality.

Detectives are continuing the investigation and have not ruled out more arrests.
