Approach to Undermining
The approach to undermining is aimed at sustainably disrupting criminal activities, networks and structures. Examples of ‘undermining’ are organized drug trafficking, money laundering, fraud and cybercrime. Criminals often abuse legal facilities, companies and institutions to carry out illegal activities. Due to this mixing between the underworld and the upper world, residents and entrepreneurs come into contact with undermining crime. It makes a neighborhood or business park vulnerable because criminals are in charge here. And with the risk of subsequently being confronted with nuisance, drug waste, intimidation, extortion, violence and positions of power of (groups of) people.
