Koos Postema looks back on his career with satisfaction and a good feeling. In Plus Online he says: “I have worked for a very long time. The funny thing is that I can’t give an end date, but I do know exactly when I started: May 1, 1960. At VARA. I arrived at that studio, carrying a bag with a notepad in it, very nervous. And there was no one there at all. A man emerged, a doorman: ‘Don’t you know it’s May 1? Labor Day?’ VARA fully celebrated that at the time.”
