Kieft:

Wim Kieft thinks that Orkun Kökcü and Santiago Gimenez can make the difference for Feyenoord in The Classic against Ajax on Sunday. The analyst is full of praise for the captain and striker of the team from Rotterdam.

Kieft thinks that Kökcü has benefited greatly from the arrival of Arne Slot. “At first it was very much out of position, but that guy is now completely broken. He has had that since Slot arrived. He is really a revelation,” says the former striker at Veronica Offside.

Club watcher Martijn Krabbendam of Voetbal International knows that Kökcü was still ‘a number ten with sagging stockings’ two years ago. “But he also made the switch himself. Slot said after that duel with FC Drita: this can’t go on like this. Then he went to a gym in Rotterdam, where he started training like crazy.”

In addition to Kökcü, Kieft is also pleased with Gimenez. He expects that the Mexican can also play a major role against Ajax on Sunday. “He knows exactly where the space is. It is also the period that Feyenoord is currently in. Everything is going well, they are going to Amsterdam. I think such a boy will make the difference for you.”
