A 42-year-old man escaped in Delft on Saturday night after a kidnapping that started in Egmond aan Zee. The victim was not injured. No arrests have been made yet.
The police received a report of a kidnapping of a person around 1:55 am. The victim was allegedly kidnapped earlier that day in Egmond aan Zee by several people. The victim eventually managed to escape at Poptahof Noord in Delft and there he called the police.
The man was not injured and is doing ‘in good condition’, according to the police. Nothing is yet known about the reason for the kidnapping.
White Mercedes
According to the AD, a white Mercedes was seized on Saturday night in a parking lot in the Kerkpolder nature reserve near Delft. Several items were found in the car, which the police seized. The back door of the car has extensive damage that may have been caused when the victim managed to escape.
The police cannot say whether the seized car has anything to do with the kidnapping.
The police deployed several units and a police helicopter to search for the kidnappers. No arrests have been made so far. The police are investigating the incident.
