Journalist Tom Kleijn has become the winner of the 22nd season of De Slimste Mens. The final battle was between Tom Kleijn and theater director Jörgen Tjong A Fong, because musical actress Nandi van Beurden had already lost weight earlier in the episode. Tom Kleijn started the final with a 70 second lead over the theater director, but it was quite even until the end. Kleijn eventually won with one correct answer over the island of Bonaire.
