Johnny de Mol: depression was lurking

In ‘Libelle’ Johnny de Mol talks remarkably openly about the bad times he went through last year, partly because of an ex who had filed a report against him for abuse. “At some point I started talking. With my own people, but also with people from outside. I sought professional help. I haven’t been depressed, but during the worst times there were definitely mornings when I lay in bed with the curtains closed and thought: I can’t get out of it. It’s not in me to give in to that, but I have discovered that something like this is lurking faster than I thought. Ultimately, I just kept going out and looking people in the eye. I had nothing to hide. And then you notice that you are thinking more in your head than is actually happening. I have received support from the strangest nooks and crannies. That did me good. Fortunately, the case was ultimately dismissed.”
