This is all about digital (collaboration) working, innovation and optimizing work and providing efficient services to the organization. The BUCH offers countless challenging (sub)projects where technology and working with information come together, with realistic and achievable successes. Achieve results together to be proud of!

To achieve the course, the BUCH invests in new functions, roles, knowledge and skills and the organization continues to build a strong core group of permanent team members. This core group also sees the BUCH as a powerful think tank that is constantly looking for innovative solutions based on individual expertise and joint input. To this end, we recruit passionate specialists who love challenges, with whom BUCH wants to expand and strengthen the team, while charting and realizing the course for the next four years. Building the digital workplace of tomorrow together.

What will you do as an IT Project Manager?
You focus on the implementation of IT-related projects from the Annual Plan, which includes all BUCH projects with an ICT component. The priority for implementation has been determined by the BUCH MT. You will develop a project proposal into an action plan and you will also be responsible for its implementation, with a project group that you have put together. In some cases you are also responsible for tenders, implementation, upgrades and migrations of the various parts of the project.

You prepare decision-making and manage the projects, monitor the process and manage the project members involved on a daily basis and provide the associated interim reports. You ensure that results are guaranteed.

You represent the organization at various levels, both internally and externally. You work closely with those responsible within the domains, the Information Manager, the information and automation advisors, the I&A team managers, the CIO and the CISO. The team managers ICT, Computerization, Information Management and the CIO form the I&A management.

What we ask
This independent role requires the following:
You have a solid background in information technology and up-to-date knowledge of trends and developments in the field of IT. In your role you are able to involve the process manager from the domain and the colleagues from I&A and manage them from your projects. You are results-oriented and stick to agreed deadlines and have a good sense of where there may be tension and what is needed to move forward.

You are proactive, decisive and unconditionally focused on achieving results. You also encourage others to achieve goals. You are a good listener, tactical and persuasive. You are friendly and you can encourage your project staff. You use your skills as a project leader to meet the agreed time limits. You have insight into and a sense of interests, needs and relationships within the organization. You can bring together the different interests and needs and propose solutions and have them realized. You have an eye for the coherence between the various IT projects, also in relation to the Annual I&A Plan.

You work in a structured, systematic manner and are able to make complicated I&A assignments simple and feasible. You ensure a seamless transition from project phase to management phase. You have excellent communication and advisory skills and are collaborative. You are approachable to everyone and understand the need for good cooperation with colleagues at I&A.

You also bring:

  • A function-oriented and completed HBO+ education. Consider, for example, Business Administration or Computer Science;
  • At least 2 years of demonstrable and relevant work experience as a project leader in the field of IT issues;
  • Additional training in the field of project and change management;
  • Experience with project methodologies such as Prince II and Agile Scrum.
  • You are preferably familiar with national and municipal developments in the field and know what is going on in the various domains at municipalities and what challenges there are in complying with legislation and regulations.

What do we offer?
Working as a work organization for the municipalities of Bergen, Uitgeest, Castricum and Heiloo. Four separate municipalities with their own local color within a work organization is unique in our country. From this context, there are plenty of challenges and opportunities to contribute with your expertise. A unique opportunity for you to enrich your knowledge with experiences from a work organization. That makes this job extra interesting.

The BUCH works according to the concept of flexible working and flexible working hours. This makes it easy to combine private and work life. This gives you the space and facilities to take your own responsibility, seek cooperation and efficiently achieve the agreed results. Furthermore, BUCH encourages employees to be enterprising and to come up with innovative ideas and initiatives. The residents are central and not our own processes.

Management I&A and the IT team:
The team managers ICT, Computerization, Information Management and the CIO form the I&A management.
Project management is a task within the Information Technology team and part of the Operations domain. Your direct manager is the IT Team Manager.
The IT team now consists of 24 driven and knowledgeable colleagues who enjoy working together to support the work organization De BUCH and the four municipalities on topics such as:

  • Information management, advice, security and privacy;
  • Data-driven working and data quality;
  • GEO information and Basic Registrations;
  • I&A projects.

The IT team has made great strides towards professionalization in recent years. Looking ahead, there are certainly still great challenges to develop further.
To this end, the team is being expanded in terms of employees and knowledge, and investments are also being made in new roles (such as these IT Project Leaders and also an IT Asset Manager).

Furthermore, the BUCH offers you:
A gross monthly salary between €4,211 and €5,997 (scale 11) based on 36 hours per week, your precise classification depends on your knowledge and experience. On top of that, you will receive an individual choice budget of 17.05% per month on top of your salary. You can use this at a time of your choosing for holiday pay or extra salary, but also use it to buy days of leave or as a contribution to, for example, your sports subscription and a museum annual pass. In addition: a pension scheme through the ABP pension fund, more than 5 weeks of holiday per year and a travel allowance or work from home allowance, laptop and telephone.
