Etten-Leur – The police started an investigation on Thursday morning following the discovery of a deceased man in Etten-Leur. A suspect has been arrested for possible involvement in the death.
On Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 2:45 a.m., the Operational Center receives a report of a feeling of unwell at the Leurse Branden. Officers who are the first to arrive on the scene start CPR, but this has stopped after the arrival of an ambulance staff. The man turned out to be dead. The victim was a resident of the care institution on the same street. The police immediately started an investigation. Shortly after the incident, a 48-year-old co-resident of the care institution was arrested for possible involvement in the death of the man. After the suspect has been brought before an assistant public prosecutor, he is taken into custody.
The investigation will continue and on Friday an examining magistrate will test whether the arrest and the insurance institution are lawful. He will be brought before the examining magistrate on Monday or Tuesday.
