What are you going to do
The Information Management (IM) department of the municipality of Leeuwarden is looking for an Information Architect for 32-36 hours a week.

Due to developments in the field of information provision and the resulting ambitions, there is a need for advisory capacity on tactical issues related to information architecture.

As an Information Architect, you advise on the I-strategy and municipal information policy and you do this in coordination with the head of the IM department, the Enterprise architect, the information manager, the data manager, the information advisors, the directors of the pillars of the I strategy and the CISO. In addition, the information architect coordinates this with the policy colleagues of the cooperation partners.

You report to/receive hierarchical guidelines from the IM manager and work closely with fellow architects (Enterprise architect and ICT architects), the information manager and the directors of the pillars of the I strategy (Common ground, Data, Cloud and generic facilities). .

Within this position, your focus is on the architecture of all information flows at the municipality of Leeuwarden. As an information architect, you are concerned with the connection and relationship between our applications within this architecture. There is a need for an information architect who can advise ‘hands on’ within a wide range of projects and developments within the organization. The information architect is able to switch quickly with the professional departments, between projects and within information provision. The information architect generally monitors the information architecture and coherence between the projects and developments and tests these on the basis of the Basic Start Architecture and the I-strategy.

The information architect is used to advise from the perspective of information management and information architecture on the following topics and projects:

  • common ground
  • Data-driven working
  • Cloud transition
  • Deployment and creation of generic facilities
  • digital twin
  • Open Government Act (Woo)
  • System of basic registrations
  • Integration
  • 3D technology
  • Citizen participation
  • environmental code

Who are you
As an information architect you are a communicative and analytically strong person. You have a proactive and coaching way of working. You are solution-oriented (know how to translate theory into practical solutions), organization sensitive and creative in coming up with solutions. In addition, you have:

  • A completed HBO education or higher with a comparable level of work and thinking;
  • Work experience in the field of information management from roles such as Information Manager/Information Architect/Information Advisor;
  • Knowledge of municipal processes and experience of working within a (large) government organization
  • Demonstrated consulting and writing skills;
  • Knowledge of the accepted models/languages ​​is an advantage (eg Togaf and Archimate).

The Information Management (IM) department manages the applications of the municipality, advises and provides support in the field of information provision.

What do we offer
We offer a salary, depending on education and experience, of a minimum of €3,396 and a maximum of €5,366 (starting scale 10, job scale 10A, salary scale 1-4-2022 Cao Municipalities) gross per month with a 36-hour working week. It concerns a structural function, we offer an annual contract with a view to extending the contract for an indefinite period.

At the municipality of Leeuwarden we work in a hybrid way, you are where the work is, what suits you and in consultation with the team. Practice shows that it is usually 50/50 at the town hall and at home. We have good facilities to set up your workplace at home.
