Information
As a Data information advisor in the Information Services team, you help build the data products of municipalities.

We have the ambition and passion to support our major challenges with good data products. To be fair, we must also admit that the use of data is still in its infancy. We are therefore looking for someone who can take the lead in this challenge. You don’t immediately start running with a question, but ask critically about added value.

Your duties include the (further) development of data products as well as the development of the virtual data team. We want to do this by, on the one hand, concrete results and also by offering space for experimenting with data for inspiration and awareness. When carrying out your tasks, you work closely with our data analyst, information advisors and contributors of data initiatives. The nice thing about this is that (depending on the data initiative) you really become acquainted with the full breadth of a municipality’s range of tasks.

You also follow relevant external developments and provide advice and make concrete policy proposals. With your experience and broad view, you also contribute to the further development of the Information Services team.

As a Data Information Advisor, you are involved in the following activities:

• You analyze data developments and translate them to our organization;
• You contribute to the development of a (data) vision and promote it, develop frameworks and monitor compliance;
• You act as a project leader in projects with a data component and actively seek collaboration with other disciplines;
• You advise on embedding Data-driven Working in the organization (organizational, financial).

Job requirements

• You have at least an HBO diploma or similar training that shows that you have an HBO working and thinking level;
• You have relevant work experience;
• Completed professional education and training in the field of data management and/or Business Intelligence;
• You are a discussion partner for employees, management, directors and boards;

Employment conditions
If you come to work at the municipality of Zuidplas, you are assured of good primary and secondary employment conditions, namely:

• A challenging position and a pleasant working environment at a growing municipality with great ambitions;
• A salary between €4,221 and €5,997 gross per month based on 36 hours (scale 11);
• An Individual Choice Budget of 17.05% of the gross annual salary that you can use entirely according to your own wishes. Consider the option of having it paid out or purchasing extra vacation days;
• A one-year contract with the prospect of an appointment for an indefinite period;
• A full-time working week of maximum 36 hours;
• Hybrid working options and the flexibility to organize your working hours as it suits you;
• A good work-life balance and 5 weeks of holiday with a full-time working week so that you can relax;
• Access to the Zuidplas Academy where you can follow numerous training and courses so that you can continue to develop;
• A travel allowance of €0.19 per kilometer, from 10 to 30 kilometers one way. But if you ask us, you come by public transport and you get an NS Business Card to travel to work;
• A Smartphone and Laptop so you can do your work anywhere. Electric bicycles are available at the town hall for you to attend work appointments;
• Pension scheme through the ABP where the municipality of Zuidplas pays 70% of your pension accrual;
• A home work allowance of €3 net per day and sufficient facilities to set up your workplace at home;

About the Municipality of Zuidplas
Zuidplas is a merged municipality consisting of the villages of Moerkapelle, Moordrecht, Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel and Zevenhuizen. You will work in the Information Provision team, which consists of 12 colleagues (information advisors and administrators of the central applications). This means you are close to all the great projects we will be doing in the near future. You also work a lot with the data specialists within the other clusters.
