Job offer

The Information Facility within the municipality of Eindhoven includes a wide range of application services, but also the underlying infrastructure and workplaces.
The municipality has a challenging ICT environment that is determined by legal frameworks, but also by innovative services provided to its residents and entrepreneurs. As one of the 5 largest municipalities in the Netherlands, there are high ambitions that require continuous professionalization of ICT services.

Your role:
As an Incident/Change Manager you are the oil in the ICT chain and you are part of the Service Management team. You ensure minimal disruption to the business in the event of incidents and changes in our IT landscape.

  • You provide direct functional management of colleagues with an executive role in the incident and change management process and are the procedural point of contact.
  • You monitor the incident and change management process at operational level and regularly consult with involved stakeholders.
  • You monitor the quality and results of the incident and change management process and report on the results.
  • You take control during Major Incidents (calamities and/or high-priority incidents) by putting together and convening a crisis team.
  • You are responsible for the assessment, approval and planning of changes.

Quote from Ronald Rovers, current Incident/Change Manager:
It is very nice to see cooperation grow when a major incident occurs, everyone working together for a good and quick solution! As an incident manager you can play an important role in this.

Who do you do that with?
As an Incident/Change Manager you work together with many colleagues. These are not only the employees of your own IT & Management sector, but also our internal customers and possibly suppliers.

This is what you bring:

  • HBO working and thinking level (Computer Science);
  • At least 5 years of experience in a relevant position, preferably as an Incident and/or Change Manager;
  • You have completed the ITIL Foundation, Incident and Change Management courses. Certification is an advantage.
  • Broad knowledge of frameworks such as ITIL and Cobit;
  • Affinity with complex IT landscapes with a combination of on-premise, SaaS and Cloud solutions;
  • You take ownership (even unsolicited if necessary), are involved, results and service-oriented;
  • You have a positive critical attitude and are able to make your points of view clear;
  • You are organizationally sensitive and able to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders from various disciplines and levels.

Perhaps you do not yet have experience in one of the above competencies, but do you see yourself working as an Incident/Change Manager? We would also like to invite you to respond to this vacancy. Together with you, we will look at how we can support you to grow in the role.

What do we offer?
With a job that allows you to have an impact on the city and the municipality of Eindhoven. And an informal organizational culture, where attention is paid to a good work and private balance. You can also count on the employment conditions below.

  • A gross monthly salary between €3,558 and €5,247 based on a 36-hour working week. The exact salary is tailored to the education, knowledge and experience you bring;
  • One year contract. If we are satisfied on both sides, it will be converted into a permanent contract;
  • 27 vacation days per year (if you work full-time). In addition, you can build up ADV days and take a total of approximately 10 weeks of leave per year. If you work part-time, this is of course pro rata;
  • On top of your salary you will receive our Individual Choice Budget of 17.05%. This means that 17.05% of your gross monthly salary is reserved for you every month. You can, for example, use this to purchase days of leave or for a bicycle allowance. You can also have this budget paid out (partly);
  • We will fully reimburse your journey by public transport. Are you traveling by car? Then we have a travel allowance of €0.23 per (commuting distance) kilometer from 7.5 km to 40 km one way. Are you coming by bicycle/e-bike or on foot? Then we reimburse €0.23 per km without maximum. And for every day that you work completely from home, you also receive compensation;
  • A wide range of courses and training through the Eindhoven Academy;
  • Hybrid working: a nice mix of working at one of our locations or from home. We offer (home) work facilities to make your workplace safe and healthy. And for every day that you work completely from home, you receive compensation;
  • Free fruit in our buildings and €20 per month discount on a sports subscription at an affiliated gym;
  • Access to the digital version of the Eindhovens Dagblad and 8 hours per year to participate in social activities that contribute to the city.

What do you stand for?
Eindhoven is the city of innovation, technology, design and, above all, the future. In the heart of our fast-growing city, we work energetically with more than 2,700 colleagues to create a great city in which to live, work and recreate. We stand together for our city with involved residents, partners and social agencies.

Hybrid working is possible for most functions, including this position. Employees will therefore work less from the office and more online. This means less travel time and travel. Do you bring the right expertise, but do you live a little further away? Then we cordially invite you to respond to this great substantive challenge!

We find diversity and inclusion very important. There is room for everyone with us. We are happy with the differences between our employees. We prefer to have them as large as those in our city and region. Because it is precisely because we are different that we realize our big plans together. Would you like to know what it is like to work with us? Then read the stories of our employees at www.werkenvooreindhoven.nl.
