Willemstad – A 71-year-old man was severely assaulted on Saturday evening, January 28, after he caught burglars on Boudewijn Drenkwaartlaan. On Tuesday evening, February 21, the police will show an image of one of the perpetrators in the investigation program Opsporing Verzoeken in the hope that someone will recognize him.
Shortly after 6 p.m., local residents suspected that a home was being broken into. They called 911 and two men, including the 71-year-old man, took a look in an alley behind the house where the burglary was said to be taking place. They encountered the two fleeing burglars. The 71-year-old man was severely assaulted by them and then they took off in a car. In the upcoming broadcast of Opsporing Verzoeken, the police will talk extensively about the investigation and enlist the help of the viewer.
