The police discovered a possible illegal gambling house on Rhoneweg in Amsterdam-Sloterdijk on Saturday night. This happened after the police received a report of a shooting just after 3:30 am.
AT5 writes that a shooting was reported that took place outside. Officers found nothing at the scene, but they did see that a little further away a door to a catering establishment was suddenly closed and would no longer open.
200 people
Once officers entered the building, they found approximately 200 people and “attributes that indicate illegal gambling is taking place,” such as several gambling tables and playing cards, according to AT5.
The police dismissed everyone present and no arrests were made. The police are conducting further investigation. The municipality may decide whether the building should be closed.
