Huub Stapel is currently on stage with the solo theater performance ‘Only Family’. Every time before he goes on stage, he thinks about his parents. His father died of a heart attack at the age of 62 and has seen little of Huub’s career. “All my life I’ve been saying a prayer before I step on stage,” Huub says in ANBO magazine. He then says: “Dad, mom, just take a look.” Huub says: “I think they will appreciate this performance. My father ultimately emerges victorious and my mother… the fact that they didn’t canonize that woman is a miracle! She deserved it more than Mother Teresa, she was there for everyone.”
