At the beginning of last year, Estavana Polman was pushed aside by her Danish club Team Esbjerg after nine years. A very difficult time followed for the handball player. She says in De Leeuwarder Courant: “In life you always get periods that you have to get through. For me this was such a period. It really wasn’t easy and I really messed things up at home with Rafael. But ultimately I see it as a learning process and it has made me much stronger.”
