A house was shot at in Spijkenisse on Saturday night. A fire bomb was thrown at a house in Middelburg at night. Another home in Middelburg was damaged when an explosive exploded in the backyard.
Spijkenisse
A family from a house on Aletta Jacobsstraat in Spijkenisse was lying in bed when they heard loud bangs outside at 00.24. Their home appeared to have been shot at. The bedroom window suffered damage. No one was injured.
The police are investigating and looking for witnesses. Forensic Investigation examined the house and street for traces. Neighborhood research was also conducted and a search was made for available camera images. No arrests have been made yet.
Backyard
It was also a hit in Middelburg. A house on Roozenburglaan was damaged there on Saturday evening around 8.55 pm when an explosive exploded in the backyard. No one was injured, but the back of the house was extensively damaged. The residents have filed a report. The police are investigating.
Firebomb
Around 00.45 there was also a report of a fire bomb being thrown against a house on Breeweg in Middelburg. A man with his son was present in the home at the time. They were unharmed. The explosive caused a fire for a short time, which was extinguished by the fire brigade.
It is still unclear whether there is a possible connection between the two incidents in Middelburg.
