Friends forever they are. Jacques d’Ancona, who worked with Henny Huisman for years on the Soundmix show, still maintains a warm relationship with the presenter. The theater critic would also like to work with him again.
“During the Sterrenplaybackshow and later the Soundmixshow we became friends for life,” says 86-year-old d’Ancona in De Telegraaf. “We call, email, text and share joys and sorrows. We discuss almost everything: happiness, sadness, illness… you name it. Henny and I have no secrets from each other.
“D’Ancona and Huisman met each other in the eighties and worked together at the Soundmixshow until 2002. They are currently both on the jury of the new SBS talent show Ranking the Talent. The theater critic would like to collaborate with his good friend more often. “If it were up to me, Henny and I would make a program together again,” says d’Ancona. “Preferably something in which, just like then, I can give my opinion honestly, clearly and sharply. Not that I’m really homesick for the TV studios. I am not as eager as Henny is to be on TV again.”
