Harry Slinger’s biography will be published on April 15, a few months before his 75th birthday. In ‘Je Loog Tegen Mij’, written by Edwin Gitsels, the founder and singer of Drukwerk tells the whole story for the first time about the debts that the band was burdened with at the height of its success. In his search for who was responsible for the financial misery, Harry was seriously threatened and even had to go into hiding. His father’s camp syndrome is also discussed and Harry tells how his keyboardist’s girlfriend became his wife, why he did not speak to his eldest daughter for thirty years and how he fought to keep his head above water.
