Happy Mar10 day! Lego unveils Mario Kart Lego

Lego and Nintendo have been working together since 2020 and create sets that are interactive. Or well, that’s what all Lego sets are in the end, but Mario’s are accompanied by screens and sounds, allowing you to build and replay Mario levels. Very cool, but something was still missing… and that has now been announced on this Mario Day: Lego Mario Kart.

It is expected that a new console will be released from Nintendo next year and that a completely new Mario Kart will finally arrive. Whether that’s true or not remains to be seen, but it may not be entirely coincidental that Lego is now teasing a Mario Kart set for release in 2025. Today is Mario Day and that’s because March 10 is March 10 in English. is, so March 10: Mar10. We have thought about it before, because those mustache-wearing plumbers have had a major influence on our gaming fanaticism, but this year it is also accompanied by a cool announcement.

Lego Mario Kart

In addition to the Mario Kart tease, more has been announced: The Bowser Express Train, Peach’s Castle and King Boo’s Haunted Mansion. They are all iconic settings from the beloved game franchise and these three will be released on August 1. These are places that we have known for decades, because these locations are already in the first Mario games on NES and Super Nintendo. However, we are especially curious about Mario Kart, because technically you could do very cool things with it. And because Mario Kart is perhaps even more popular than the sidescrolling platform adventures of the Mario brothers and Luigi.

The hype is high for both the game and the Lego set, although we have only seen a silhouette of the latter. You can see more of the sets in the rather slick video below.
