In a special operation, police in Belgium put an end to the activities of a criminal group engaged in the production and import of luxury fake watches and diamonds. The police in Amsterdam were also involved in the action.

Fake
It concerns an Israeli criminal organization that incorporated original parts from luxury watches into fake watches. They were exposed when a package containing 600 grams of cocaine bound for Israel was intercepted. The investigation that followed showed that in addition to smuggling cocaine, they were also involved in producing counterfeit watches and fake diamonds.
Searches
In connection with this case, 26 searches were carried out last Tuesday in Belgium, the Netherlands and Slovakia, led by Europol. 165 watches were seized, including associated certificates. In addition, 200 jewelry, 209,000 euros in cash, crypto currency, weapons, 14 kilos of drugs and involvement in the cocaine trade.
Underground
The criminals also appeared to be involved in money laundering, through crypto-currency, underground banking and investing in real estate, in Portugal.
