The hit series Game of Thrones is getting a sequel, or rather a new prequel. That was announced by the company behind the new streaming platform Max, Warner Bros. Discovery. The company also announced a spin-off of the Big Bang Theory and new plans for an all-Harry Potter series.

The series will be available on the Max streaming service, which combines the HBO Max and Discovery+ services.

The eight-season fantasy series Game of Thrones has been followed by tens of millions of people worldwide. There was already a prequel last year. House of the Dragon is a story that took place a century and a half before the Game of Thrones storyline. The recordings for the second season of that series are in full swing.

The new prequel will be tentatively titled A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and is about a knight and his squire.
