We are looking for a functional GIS manager, who ensures that our GEO and GIS applications function optimally. You are the link between IT and the rest of the colleagues. With a refreshing and innovative view on things, so that we can learn a lot from each other.

Your job
As a functional manager you analyze, develop and maintain the information provision for the municipalities of Deventer, Olst-Wijhe and Raalte. Every day you work on user management and functionality management of various GEO applications. You ensure the continuity of the systems and translate the information needs into information provision.

You work on a project basis for many different departments and users. You also have a supporting role towards key users or users. You make manuals and provide training so that users can work well with the applications. Where there are questions, you think along and look for solutions. You look at (technical) possibilities if questions arise repeatedly.

You work with the functional management processes from the BiSL framework and you are constantly looking for improvements. This is how you contribute to our ISO 9001:2015 certification; quality is our top priority. The more experience, background and knowledge you bring, the more responsibilities we offer you. About you
You have strong communication skills, you listen, ask questions and connect with the users. You are good at making analyses, you work and think process-oriented and you quickly see where the bottleneck and the solution are. You find structural solutions more important than ad hoc activities and are therefore good at setting boundaries.

You are energetic, proactive, able to quickly master new developments and you can work well together and on a project basis. We would also like to learn from you, so you bring a fresh and innovative view of things with you.

Your experience
You have completed a higher vocational education in ICT. Or you have completed a secondary vocational education and you have two or three years of work experience in a similar position.

Have you already gained some experience in the following areas? Then that is an advantage.

• Digital work processes of business systems.
• SharePoint.
• BISL (certification).
• ITIL processes.

The team
DOWR-i is a collaboration between the municipality of Deventer, Olst-Wijhe and Raalte in the field of ICT. We are employed by the municipality of Deventer. Every day, 100 colleagues work on Information Security, Information Management Advice, Architecture, IT Management, Functional Management, Project and Portfolio Management and Business Control. We do this for more than 2,100 users and approximately 160,000 residents. Our team is large enough for substantive challenges and compact enough to be involved from start to finish.
