A new residential area in Hoorn? The maintenance of roads and greenery in Hoorn? Want to ensure that the digital workplace runs like a charm so that your colleagues can do their work without any problems? Today you are working on guest use in M365, tomorrow on Secure Mail and settings in Adobe, and oh yes, you also have to quickly call a supplier to schedule a consultation.

As a functional application manager, you help to make this possible. Many colleagues, residents and entrepreneurs depend on well-functioning applications. And that is exactly where you make the difference. You speak the user’s language and ensure that the applications meet their needs.

Further

  • You and a number of colleagues are responsible for the further development of various types of applications, such as M365 and professional applications (such as a contract management system and a subsidy system).
  • You support colleagues in the executive teams with the use of various applications.
  • You advise on the use and possibilities of the applications and make suggestions for improvement where necessary.
  • You support the remote access of guest users, and you ensure the security of personal data and documents.
  • You maintain an overview of the application landscape, in collaboration with the information manager, with external service providers, cloud and SaaS suppliers.
  • You manage user rights, maintain documentation, provide user training and communicate clearly to the organization.
  • You participate in projects. These are often scrum teams. You may also fill the role of the Scrum Master.
  • In case of changes, you monitor the overview and progress, in coordination with the change manager, and ensure that professional testing is carried out. You carry out tests yourself and you also manage the testing process of the user organization.

You are a professional and a team player who feels comfortable in a dynamic working environment. You have a broad interest in the work of the municipality and enjoy getting to know the processes and people of ‘the business’ well. You get satisfaction from understanding the wishes of the users. You can therefore also listen carefully and ask questions.

Of course you have an affinity with ICT. But above all, you have an eye for the people, the work and the questions within your domain. Working together gives you energy and you don’t wait, but tackle things proactively. You have strong oral and written skills and you want to achieve great results by setting up applications and information systems. You find it fun and important to develop yourself further.

You do this with helpfulness, patience and good communication skills. It gives you energy to help your colleagues professionally. You keep your agreements, set priorities and are able to manage expectations.

Further

  • You have at least a completed HBO education, preferably in the field of ICT.
  • You have experience with functionally managing applications, experience in government or a municipality is not necessary.
  • Knowledge and work experience with managing M365 applications is an advantage.
  • You have knowledge of and experience with BISL and ITIL, certification is an advantage.
  • You would like to gain experience with project-based work and the Scrum method or you already have this.

You will work for the Information Services team. We are the team that ensures that the ICT with which all colleagues within the municipality can work efficiently and that the services provided to residents and entrepreneurs are offered digitally, simply and securely. Of course there are plenty of challenges, we keep improving!

What we offer

  • Depending on education and experience, a salary of a maximum of €4,752 gross per month (job scale 9) based on 36 hours per week. Progression to scale 10 is possible.
  • An individual choice budget of 17.05% of your salary.

  • Laptop and smartphone for hybrid working.
  • Our goal is to offer you a contract for an indefinite period after a 1-year contract.
