Sinterklaas is back in the country and that means that many people are thinking about their poems again. Martijn Krabbé took advantage of this and had an original plan to propose to his girlfriend Deborah. “You are my love, you are the overview. I’m going to love you forever, Deborah, will you marry me?” the presenter ended his Sinterklaas poem with a marriage proposal. With tears in her eyes, Deborah answered with a resounding ‘yes’ and called it: “the best ending to a Sinterklaas poem ever!” The two got married in 2019 and are still very happy together. What a Sinterklaas gift that is!
