Five Dutch extractors arrested in the port of Antwerp

In recent days, the Antwerp police have arrested five Dutch people who probably wanted to remove a shipment of cocaine from the port. This concerns two adults and three minors. The Belgian Public Prosecution Service reported this on Monday.

During the night of Thursday 7 to Friday 8 March, the shipping police received a report of three suspicious people on quay 614 in the port of Antwerp. After arriving, officers saw three suspects climbing over a barbed wire fence. The three were eventually arrested. These are three Dutch people aged 14, 17 and 18. The juvenile judge imposed appropriate measures on the two minors, the adult was arrested by the investigating judge.

On Sunday night, the shipping police received another call due to a suspicious situation on the same quay. The suspects fled, but with the help of a sniffer dog, two Dutch people aged 14 and 19 were arrested. Ultimately, cocaine was also found.

The two will also appear before the juvenile judge and the investigating judge for these facts.
