Five arrested for 120 kilos of cocaine in Heerhugowaard warehouse

The Seaport Police, in collaboration with the police in North Holland, arrested four men in a warehouse in Heerhugowaard on Friday evening. Investigation revealed that they had just extracted 120 kilos of cocaine from a batch of vegetables. On Saturday morning, a fifth suspect was arrested near Zevenaar who probably played a facilitating role in the import of the shipment of coke.

Previous seizure

Last year, the investigative services started an investigation led by the Public Prosecution Service in Breda into a group that was involved in importing cocaine through a fruit company in the port of Vlissingen. This follows an earlier seizure of 245 kilos of cocaine in October 2022 by customs in Vlissingen. This investigation showed that the suspects behind this seized consignment were still active.
