The police assume that a fire was started at a holiday park owned by Peter Gillis. The police confirmed this after reporting by regional media. Several chalets at the Prinsenmeer park in Ommel in Brabant caught fire during the night from Friday to Saturday. Some vehicles were also damaged.
One of the chalets belonged to Gillis himself. The entrepreneur was not at the park at the time of the fire. The trace investigation has now been completed, a police spokesperson said. However, any camera images are still being viewed.
