Purmerend – The police fined ten drivers within an hour on Tuesday morning, April 9, for not adhering to the speed during a traffic stop on the A7. All offenders were pulled over and told that they were facing a fine.

This is also in the interest of all road users. This morning the police checked with a laser gun for more than an hour. We stopped ten drivers heading north for not adhering to the speed limit.

You are allowed a maximum speed of 70 km per hour on the route where the work is taking place. The offenders exceeded this speed limit, with one driver even driving more than 110 kilometers per hour.

A truck driver was also fined during the inspection. His load was heavier than the permitted 25 tons.
