‘Feyenoord players fly to Ibiza, trip is paid out of their own pocket’

After the victory over Go Ahead Eagles last Sunday, the team from Rotterdam was crowned champion of the Netherlands for the first time since 2017. The dressing room also featured the song ‘We’re going to Ibiza!’ on, a harbinger of the next joint trip of the championship team.

The trip is not paid for by Feyenoord, but by the players themselves. “Some have chosen to stay behind in the Netherlands, so that the time can be used with family,” writes the Feyenoord fan site. The trip is said to take two days, so that the players are back in time to prepare for the last Eredivisie game with Vitesse.
