Tein Troost makes the transfer-free transfer from Feyenoord to NAC Breda. The 21-year-old goalkeeper was seen as a future competitor of Justin Bijlow, but does not take up that battle and returns to the club where it all started for him.
Troost’s contract expires next summer, so the Feyenoord goalkeeper had to make a decision. Troost eventually set his sights on NAC and said goodbye to the supporters through Feyenoord’s club channels. The time has come for the next step in my career. I will take the great supporters, all the learning moments, all the successes of five years at Feyenoord with me and I will never forget,” is the candid message of the young keeper.
Troost was born in Breda and also played in the youth of NAC, before moving to the Feyenoord Academy in 2018. In the youth academy of the Breda team, he was a competitor of Anderlecht goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen. Troost was several times in the match selection of the first team with the team from Rotterdam, but did not make any minutes. The talent had to tolerate Bijlow, Timon Wellenreuther and Ofir Marciano, whose contract also expires next summer.
Ending this season nicely, next season a new challenge. 💪
Good luck with @NACnlTeen!
