'FC Twente sees 'dreamed number one' in search of successor Jans'

FC Twente has Peter Bosz in its sights, reports Leon ten Voorde, club watcher for TC/Tubantia. The current number five in the Eredivisie has to look for a new trainer, after Ron Jans announced that he would leave after this season.

Together with technical director Jan Streuer, Jans announced his retirement at the end of the season earlier in February. “They will not confirm it at FC Twente, but rumor has it that they have set out a line to Apeldoorn,” says Ten Voorde in the podcast De Ballen Verstand. “I think he is the dream number one.”

Twente recently already appointed Arnold Bruggink as Streuer’s successor. “Suppose Bosz comes, then you also take some pressure off Bruggink. You then bring in a very experienced craftsman, on whom all eyes will be focused. Then Bruggink can also get used to his new role,” said the club watcher.

Bosz has been clubless since his resignation from Olympique Lyon in October last year. The 59-year-old coach thanked FC Groningen at the end of last year for being a trainer.
