FIA warns of fraudulent company offering hospitality packages
The FIA was recently informed that a company called Foresea Ltd has sent emails offering to sell hospitality packages for several Formula 1 races. On the governing body’s website, the FIA is calling on people not to fall for it. ‘As part of those offers, this fraudulent company may attempt to provide its potential customers with letters claiming to have been sent or being sent to them by the FIA to confirm the allocation of hospitality passes. These letters may contain the FIA name and logo, together with the names of bona fide FIA employees, the FIA logo and the F1 logo.
‘However, Foresea Ltd is not authorized by the FIA (or any of its affiliated entities) to sell hospitality package passes to the Grands Prix. The letters that this company may provide to potential customers are not sent by the FIA or any authorized entities. Accordingly, any representation made by this company in relation to the FIA should be disregarded.”
Netflix shows first images of new series about Senna
Netflix is releasing a new series about F1 legend Ayrton Senna, simply called ‘Senna’. The series will have six episodes and will premiere in late 2024. The episodes depict “Senna’s journey through triumph, disappointment, joy and sorrow, revealing his personality and personal relationships.” The fictional series begins with the origins of the three-time world champion’s career, when he moves to England to compete in Formula Ford, and ends with his tragic accident in Imola during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. through his highs and lows, including his emotional home win over Interlagos in 1991. Actor Gabriel Leone will portray Senna. Leone also had a role in the film ‘Ferrari’.
Vettel drives the MP4/8 in Imola as a tribute to Senna
Thirty years after the fatal accident in Imola in which Ayrton Senna tragically died, his McLaren will drive around the Italian circuit again. During the Grand Prix weekend in Emilia-Romagna, none other than four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel will honor the Brazilian by getting behind the wheel of the MP4/8.
McLaren’s F1 team also brings in a major sponsor
Ferrari previously announced a new title sponsor with HP, but direct competitor McLaren has also signed a nice deal with a mega company. The British racing team from Woking has entered into a multi-year partnership with eBay. CEO Zak Brown is obviously very happy with the deal. ‘McLaren Racing and eBay have great synergy.
