F1 Academy gets American Express as a new partner

The F1 Academy and American Express have partnered to promote women in motorsports and support small businesses, Sports Illustrated reports. This partnership not only strengthens American Express’s commitment to Formula 1, previously identified as the official payment partner in the United States, but now also introduces a powerful initiative aimed at involving women in motorsports. Jessica Edgar, a British racing driver, will be the new face of the brand.

Susie Wolff, managing director of F1 Academy, is pleased with the collaboration. “American Express is a global leader in payments and a strong supporter of small businesses and entrepreneurs worldwide, and we are proud to welcome them to F1 Academy as an official partner,” said Wolff. “We are grateful to American Express for embracing our vision and demonstrating their commitment to empowering women in the sport and inspiring the next generation of female drivers.”

Formula 1 introduces special Formula 1 channel in the US

Formula1.com reports that the sport in the United States can be viewed 24/7 from the weekend in Miami via Formula 1 Channel, a new free streaming channel. It broadcasts Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3, and F1 Academy races, plus popular documentaries and reruns of old races. Demand for Formula 1 has risen sharply in the United States in recent years, including through Drive to Survive, and the country now organizes three Grands Prix.

Ferrari partly in blue for the Grand Prix of Miami

Ferrari announced ahead of the Grand Prix weekend in Miami that it will drive a partly blue livery. Ferrari does not often do anything special with its livery and would prefer not to exchange its red color for something else, but is now going big for the upcoming race in the United States. The car will reportedly have some accents in azzuro la plata, a light blue color, and azzuro dino, a bright blue color. These blue shades were introduced by Ferrari in 1964. The exact color scheme has not yet been revealed, but it is clear that the presentation of the one-off livery will take place in the Sunshine State.
