There was an explosion in Rotterdam-Bergschenhoek on Wednesday evening. According to the police, this happened around 9:20 PM at a house on Couperuslaan.
No one was injured, but a window was broken. It was probably an improvised explosive device made from heavy fireworks.
Nothing has been announced about a perpetrator or perpetrators.
Veenendaal
Several homes and catering establishments were evacuated in Veenendaal on Wednesday evening as a precaution. According to the police, a suspicious package was found on the street in Tuinstraat.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) is on site to examine the package. The street has been cordoned off by the police.
Playground
A hand grenade was found in a playground on Van der Helststraat in Eindhoven on Wednesday afternoon. A child alerted officers who happened to be in the area.
A police explosives scout called in the EOD, which then took the grenade away.
