There was an explosion and a fire in a house in Rotterdam-Ommoord on Saturday afternoon. A 45-year-old Rotterdammer suffered burns. The police arrested him and a 43-year-old woman from Rotterdam present at the house on suspicion of involvement in an explosion. The explosion happened around 5:30 p.m. in a house on Hanespoordoorn. Windows were broken and a wall was shaken.
The 45-year-old man was treated at a hospital for burns. After treatment, he was arrested.
The police are investigating, but say they think something went wrong in the manufacture or processing of drugs. Both suspects are still in custody for questioning.
